My new addiction: mood boards.

Holy crap, that was fun! I just spent the past two days trying to figure out how to use GIMP to make a mood board, and this is the result.

This little visual display contains some of the items we’re thinking of purchasing for our empty living room.

I’ve never used photo editing software before, so I had to mess around with it and google for more help at times.

Now that I’ve figured it out, I may have found my new favorite pastime.

I’m also thinking of doing a little tutorial on what I learned since I had no luck finding some simple instructions on mood boards for beginners.

Links and sources:
1. Lounge sofa from Crate & Barrel
2. Expedit bookcase from Ikea
3. Stow storage ottoman from Crate & Barrel
4. Saddle Seat Barstool from Target
5. Chelsea floor lamp from Pottery Barn

Hey Jamie! I just whipped through your blog, but I’m gonna go back and read it all when it’s not 12:30 at night. Looks awesome. And just so you know (and I know you know, and I know you know that I know) but it’s MOD podge.

Hey Kate! Thanks for commenting! :) I had to think about where it was that I had written modge podge cause I couldn’t remember posting about it. Then I realized it was on my list. I never would have remembered on my own that I had written it in here prior to my epiphany about it being mod not modge. Thanks!
